OUR STORY

From field operations to platform thinking.

FluidScientific emerged from a simple observation: the industries most critical to national life — healthcare, agriculture, minerals, defence, trade — are also the ones most underserved by modern data intelligence infrastructure.

The company’s founders have operated at senior levels across oil and gas, resource extraction, healthcare technology, and enterprise data. They have sat in the rooms where the data gaps cause real consequences — delayed diagnoses, supply chain failures, regulatory blind spots, and strategic vulnerabilities.

FluidScientific was incorporated to address that gap — not with generic AI tools, but with purpose-built sovereign platforms designed from the ground up for each vertical they serve.

Chris brings over two decades of experience at the intersection of resource industries, data infrastructure, and enterprise technology.

His background spans senior roles at TerraNova — revolutionizing fiber optic cable technology for digital networks under the ocean — and WhiteCap Resources, where he developed deep expertise in oil and gas operational data. These years in the field gave Chris a firsthand understanding of what it means to make high-stakes decisions with incomplete data.

The founding of Fluid Medical — FluidScientific’s first venture — grew directly from that experience. Observing the same data fragmentation problem that plagued oil and gas appearing in full force in Canadian healthcare, Chris began building the intelligence layer that clinicians needed but couldn’t access.

FluidScientific is the expansion of that thesis: a platform company that takes the hard lessons from one critical vertical and applies them, deliberately and methodically, to the next.

Senior strategy and commercialization leader with 18+ years of global experience shaping enterprise‑level strategy, market expansion, and multi‑stakeholder alignment across Shell, Cushman & Wakefield, and DTZ. At Fluid Scientific, he leads the sovereignty thesis, product architecture, commercialization pathways, and investor narrative, unifying multi‑year R&D into a coherent, scalable corporate strategy. With 25 years spanning retail operations, Optometry, and healthcare technology, Ash brings a rare combination of frontline experience and strategic vision to Fluid Scientific. From scaling IT infrastructure across hundreds of optometry clinics to leading product development in digital health, Ash has built a career around one consistent instinct: finding elegant, practical solutions to real-world problems.

How we build.

Vertical-First

We don’t build horizontal platforms and then search for use cases. We identify a specific, high-stakes industry problem, validate it with operators who live it daily, and build a purpose-specific product. Only then do we look for the architectural patterns we can carry into the next vertical.

Sovereign by Design

Every FluidScientific platform is designed from day one for sovereign deployment — meaning the data stays with the operator, on infrastructure they control, under a data governance framework they own. This is not a feature we add later. It is the foundation.
